Dale, Prissy, Matthew, Holly, Hope & Sean Sellers moved to the Philippines in 1993 to begin ministering to the local Filipino people in the city of Davao, on the island of Mindanao. They did much good work for God’s Kingdom and touched many lives while they were there. The Sellers family lived in the Philippines for almost 12 years, sharing God’s Word until they were called back by their sponsoring congregation. Dale passed away in 2007, but that did not stop Prissy from continuing their work in the country they had all come to love. On a trip back to their “home away from home” Prissy and a few local preachers realized there was a disconnect between churches and their communities, and the churches were at a loss to fix the problem. This mission effort was named “Missing Link Missions,” referring to the “missing link” between the local congregations and their communities. In an effort to bring the two together, she, along with her family, created what are now called Children’s Tutorial Centers. Starting in 2009, this mission effort has grown exponentially to more than 40 tutorials nation-wide with over 400 baptisms.
Although the Philippines was the Sellers’ original mission field, word of the good results that have come from this effort has made it across the ocean to the continent of Africa. In addition to the many tutorials existing all over the nation of the Philippines, there are also tutorials in Malawi and Tanzania. The leaders in these countries see how their churches and communities are being united and are pleading for more tutorials.
